Theatrical poster Research

The background of this poster relates well with the genre of our film and where it is set. Again the main focus is on a group of girls. A lot of editing has gone into positioning the actors and actresses in correlation to where the text is. The theatrical poster is used as an advertising tool and is used to draw an audience to watch the movie.

This particular example is my favourite, I personally feel that me and my partner can produce a similar poster. The photograph features the key characters in the main film. The simplicity of the poster makes it effective an intriguing. When taking the photographs for my own poster I can play with the different levels when positioning the characters.

Again a lot of editing has gone into the making of this poster. But the second example is more appropriate to what we have available to us. The Greys represent gloom and sadness. The bright red words of 'SHANK' represent death, we could apply this to our own idea.

This film is based on a girl gang, which relates to our own film. In terms of the layout, the background showcases where the film is set. We can apply this to our own poster. The text 'sket also matches our font research.

In all examples MAKE-UP was not used, to really enforce the nature of the film.
