Poster Font Research

In or film there are events filled with violence and loss. One of the characters are stabbed by a former friend. I first wanted the text to captivate this imagery. The fonts above have a form of splattered effect applied to them. It is almost like blood splatters at a scene of a crime. I feel that really relates to the plot of the film. However I did actually feel it related to horror type films and this was not the genre of our movie. We have a real life gritty drama.

In correlation to the theatrical poster research I could see that all the chosen fonts were bold and mono spaced. and I felt was effective and complemented the photograph of actors in the setting of the film. Different colours were applied to make more of a statement, The simplicity of the text actually made it stand out from the rest of the poster making the potential audience remember the name of the film which is vital as the poster is a form of advertisement.
