Speech

As a group we decided to use a sound track throughout the trailer but we felt that some of our filming will be accompanied best well with some dialogue. I personally felt that it will make the film trailer more authentic, and even before seeing the film the target audience can establish the personality of some characters. Previous research also backed this idea.
Researching around this issue, I found that actually ‘Girl gangs are taking centre stage in a new British film looking at female street violence’ meaning there was a market for our chosen film but also real life media products with the same genre pay close attention to language as this is the key way that they will communicate to the target audience.
This article gives example of how a variety of programmes and films, where the centre target audience are the younger generation. They use langue to appeal to them. For example Top Boy.

Not only what they say but how it said. During our trailer my partner and I try and show conflict, where words need to be spoken in an aggressive tone. As a group we need to assure that our actresses speak in that manner.
